It’s important to know what you’re eating. And it’s even more important to know what you aren’t eating. We want you to know that all of our cattle are grass fed, with no added steroids, hormones, or antibiotics. We think it is important to know exactly where your beef comes from and how it was raised.

Skip Rock Ranch is raising all natural grass fed Angus, Devon, and Irish Dexter beef in a true farm to table model for Austin, San Antonio, and Central Texas. Since the 1830's, our family has been farming and ranching in Texas. Skip Rock Ranch is our way of progressing from the typical feedlot approach of producing cattle. Our herd is exclusively grass fed with no added hormones, antibiotics, or steroids. Our approach is healthier for the cattle, the environment, the local economy, and for anyone who eats grass fed beef. Our goal is for you to cut into a Skip Rock Ranch ribeye and experience what a steak tasted like in 1955, before factory farming changed everything.
We are going out on a limb and trying something that is both very new to the market, but very ancient in the way the cattle are treated and fed. Consequently, we welcome any questions or feedback. Also, we would really appreciate it if you supported your local rancher and bought a steer from us!
